Cincinnati and Arizona duked it out at Chase Field and the Reds came out victorious.

Behind a solid performance from left fielder Joey Gallo, the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-1. Gallo was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Reds. The winner was Blake Snell, who threw 94 pitches over 5 innings. The left-hander was charged with 1 run on 6 hits.

In the top of the first, Gregory Polanco ambushed a full count fastball from Dinelson Lamet and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Cincinnati a quick 2-0 lead.

"Feels good to get the job done," Polanco said after the game.
