Rockies Beat Giants in 10
|
The Colorado Rockies took San Francisco pitcher Jake Odorizzi's best shot and still were able to claim a win at AT&T Park. The final score had Colorado getting past the Giants, 5-3. Odorizzi went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 8. Even with the win, the Rockies have a dismal 53-105 record.
Mike Trout was a prime contributor to the Colorado win. He was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. In the top of the tenth with no one out, the eight-time All-Star hit a 3-run home run. It made the score 5-2, in favor of the Rockies.
"Exciting game to play in," said Trout. "Getting the win makes it even better."
