Rangers Stumble, Lose to Yankees
With center fielder Tony Kemp leading the charge, the New York Yankees defeated the Texas Rangers, 8-4, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Kemp, who is tied for 8th in the AL in triples with 6, was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. New York reliever Ryan Helsley picked up the win, upping his record to 7-3. Yonny Chirinos shouldered the loss. Josh Hader notched his 11th save in 14 chances.

Kemp had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth to put New York in front, 6-3. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Kemp.

New York now sits in second place in the American League East Division at 88-72.
