Giants Roll Over Dodgers, 9-4
|
San Francisco played host to Los Angeles at the friendly confines of AT&T Park.
The San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-4, at AT&T Park. San Francisco center fielder Tyler Naquin earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Diego Castillo converted his 23rd save in 25 tries.
An impactful at-bat came in the bottom of the fifth inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Kyle Schwarber, hit a 2-run double. It made the score 5-3, San Francisco, and helped them go on to win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Naquin told the San Francisco Gazette.
The Giants are now 80-80, while the Dodgers fall to 80-80.
