Cleveland and Minnesota duked it out at Target Field and the Indians came out victorious.

With center fielder Christian Yelich leading the charge, the Cleveland Indians defeated the Minnesota Twins, 9-6, at Target Field. Yelich, who finished 5th in the NL in runs with 94 in 2014, was 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Cleveland, now 2-0, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Jose Ramirez, who finished 3rd in the AL in triples with 6 in 2017, aided the Cleveland cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman was 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Cleveland manager Mitchell King.
