Pirates Beat Reds in 10
|
Cincinnati second baseman Robinson Cano had a good game, even if his team did not. The Reds dropped a 7-5 decision to Pittsburgh at Great American Ball Park. Cano was 4-5 with 4 singles and a walk. Pittsburgh reliever Seranthony Dominguez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ryan Sherriff was saddled with the loss. Ben Heller was credited with the save for Pittsburgh, his 1st of the season.
Franmil Reyes chipped in for Pittsburgh with a solo home run in the top of the tenth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"Feels good to get the job done," Reyes said after the game.
The Pirates, now 2-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
