White Sox Lose, 7-3, at Progressive Field
|
The Cleveland Indians topped the Chicago White Sox, 7-3, in American League action at Progressive Field. The player of the game was Cleveland center fielder Christian Yelich. The win was credited to Tayron Guerrero in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Antonio Senzatela took the loss. The Indians, now 3-0, have been playing some good baseball.
The Indians got a big at-bat from second baseman Jose Ramirez. For the game, Ramirez was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Cleveland a 2-0 lead.
"We played hard and won," said Yelich. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
