Reds Edge Brewers, 3-2
|
The Cincinnati Reds got a stellar performance from pitcher Danny Salazar, who handcuffed the Milwaukee offense en route to a 3-2 win at Great American Ball Park. Sal Romano closed it out for his 1st save. With the win, Cincinnati goes to 2-2.
The Reds got a big at-bat from first baseman Ji-man Choi. For the game, Choi was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 2-0 lead.
"I liked his command," said Cincinnati manager Brad S. "Danny was throwing strikes."
