Brewers Lose to Reds, 4-3
|
The Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Cincinnati Reds overcame a good performance by Milwaukee third baseman Eugenio Suarez to knock off Milwaukee, 4-3, at Great American Ball Park. Suarez was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Bruce Rondon got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings.
Jarrod Dyson hit a run-scoring triple off Andrew Miller in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Reds in front, 4-3. Dyson had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 3.
"I was a little disappointed," said Milwaukee manager David Mendel. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
Cincinnati is off to a hot start at 4-2.
