Souza Jr. Slugs Indians to 8-6 Win
The Cleveland Indians defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 8-6, at Progressive Field today. Leading the charge for Cleveland was right fielder Steven Souza Jr.. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Cleveland reliever Brad Brach picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Trevor Rosenthal shouldered the loss. Kirby Yates recorded the save for Cleveland, his 1st of the season.

Souza Jr. had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 3-1 fastball from Trevor Rosenthal, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Indians a 8-6 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Souza Jr..

"I like our moxie," said Indians manager Mitchell King.

Cleveland goes to 6-0 with the win.
