Twins Bang Out 11-5 Win Versus New York
The Minnesota Twins powered past the New York Mets, 11-5, at Citi Field. Freddie Freeman was 3 for 5 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Minnesota starter Clayton Richard was credited with the win after throwing 91 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Losses have been few and far between for the Mets, who are now 8-2.

With Minnesota leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Freeman hit a fastball from Andrew Suarez for a 2-run single. It was his 11th hit of the season and put the Twins ahead, 4-0.
