Nationals Stay Hot, Beat Pirates
|
Jake Lamb did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Pittsburgh Pirates from losing, 10-4, to the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. Lamb was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Pirates fall to 7-8 and continue their wobbly start to the 2019 season.
Jose Pirela in the bottom of the third had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and the Nationals leading 2-1, the Washington right fielder grounded out, driving in 1 run.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Pirela told the Washington Citizen.
