4-1 Win by Indians Continues Hot Start
|
Cleveland got an elite performance from starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow in taking a 4-1 decision over the Seattle Mariners. Glasnow picked up the win for Cleveland, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. David Robertson got credit for the save for Cleveland. It was his 9th of the year.
Stephen Vogt had a critical at-bat with no one out in the top of the second for Cleveland. He came through with a 2-run home run to put Cleveland in front, 3-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Cleveland manager Mitchell King. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Mariners fall to 8-11 and continue to sputter in the early going.
