Nationals Win Another One
|
The Washington Nationals racked up a win at Nationals Park, bumping off the San Francisco Giants, 6-3. Michael Wacha, who started for Washington, pitched effectively for his team. The Giants fall to 9-10 and continue their wobbly start to the 2019 season.
Washington took a 3-2 lead on Jose Pirela's 21st hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Pirela hit in the bottom of the seventh, left San Francisco pitcher Jake Odorizzi shaking his head.
"I like our mindset right now," said Washington manager Maurice Hamilton.
