Story Excels, Los Angeles Blows Out New York
|
The Los Angeles Angels thumped the New York Yankees, 13-0, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Trevor Story was a big reason his team got the win. Story hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Trevor Bauer got credit for the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 5.2 innings. Los Angeles goes to 15-9 with the win.
Story had a key at-bat for Los Angeles early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Los Angeles an early 3-0 lead.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Story.
