Indians Walk Off with 3-2 Win
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Cleveland Indians and the Miami Marlins, Andrew Heaney was the difference-maker. The Cleveland left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. Cleveland is off to a hot start at 16-5.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Eric Hosmer came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Miami pitcher Blake Treinen, he hit a 1-0 sinker for a run-scoring triple. It was a game-changer, putting Cleveland on top, 3-2.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Miami manager Pat Padula. "The effort was great."
