Harper 4-5, Rangers Move to 20-7
|
The Texas Rangers topped the Seattle Mariners, 7-5, in American League action at Safeco Field. The player of the game was Texas right fielder Bryce Harper. Will Harris got credit for the save for Texas. It was his 8th of the year. Texas, now 20-7, has played well in the early going.
Texas used the timely hitting of Luis Guillorme to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rangers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Texas manager Eric Ferraro.
