Giants Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Tyler Naquin helped his team muscle past the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-1. In the game, the San Francisco center fielder went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. The winner was Carlos Alejandro Ramirez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Sam Freeman took the loss. Picking up the save was Diego Castillo, his 4th.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when right fielder Carlos Gonzalez, who finished 5th in the NL in slugging percentage with .540 in 2015, hit a double. The Giants went on to win.
"The vibe's good," said San Francisco manager Jesse Vansickle. "We've got to keep it going."
With the loss, Los Angeles is 16-17.
