Indians Rally Past Orioles to Claim 1-0 Series Lead
The Cleveland Indians started the League Championship Series in dramatic fashion today, stealing Game 1 from the Baltimore Orioles in a walk-off. Cleveland won 3-2 behind a good day from starter Max Scherzer. The right-hander threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs in the win, which gave the Indians a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-7 series.

Steven Souza Jr. swatted a solo home run for Cleveland in the bottom of the ninth. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 1.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Cleveland manager Mitchell King. "Our pregame was pretty good."

Game 2 is scheduled for tomorrow at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Slated to start are Danny Duffy for the Baltimore Orioles and Noah Syndergaard for the the Cleveland Indians.
