Hosmer goes 4-for-5, Indians Move to 21-13
|
Eric Hosmer left his imprint on the 7-1 Cleveland win against the Chicago White Sox. Hosmer, who finished 3rd in the AL in batting average with .318 in 2017, went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. With the win, the Indians improved to 21-13.
Stephen Vogt had a big run-scoring single for the Indians in the bottom of the third inning. With Cleveland leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Antonio Senzatela and stroked the single to center. It was his 22nd hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Indians ahead, 3-1.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Vogt said after the game.
