Yelich, Indians Sink Angels Again in Game 2
The Cleveland Indians moved to within one game of the League Championship Series today, downing the visiting Los Angeles Angels at Progressive Field by a score of 16-6. Indians center fielder Christian Yelich was named player of the game after he went 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 3 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. The win gives the Indians a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.

Also having an impact was first baseman Matt Carpenter, who stroked a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first for Cleveland. For the game, Carpenter went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.

"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Carpenter told the Cleveland Daily News.

Game 3 is set to be played Tuesday, October 8th, 2019. Slated to start are Collin McHugh for the Cleveland Indians and Stephen Strasburg for the the Los Angeles Angels.
