|
Oakland Coliseum was the site of a competitive game between the Cleveland Indians and Oakland Athletics.
Oakland Athletics starter Jerad Eickhoff was in fine form against the Cleveland Indians at Oakland Coliseum, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Eickhoff got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. Eickhoff allowed 2 earned runs. Aaron Bummer picked up the save for Oakland, his 3rd of the year.
Eduardo Escobar put Oakland in front, 4-0, when he took Evan Marshall downtown. His 2-run home run came with one out in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 6th home run of the season.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Escobar said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
The Athletics bumped their record to 21-21 with this latest triumph.
