Dodgers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Washington, 5-4
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals obliged those fans who came to Dodger Stadium looking for a good time.
The Los Angeles Dodgers bested the Washington Nationals by a score of 5-4, with right fielder Mookie Betts getting the main credit. On the day, Betts went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Dodgers. Los Angeles reliever Jonathan Holder picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-1. Adam Morgan was collared with the loss.
Randal Grichuk, who is tied for 7th in the NL in home runs with 10, chipped in for Los Angeles with a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the center fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
