Yankees Win 7-3 Walk-Off
|
The New York Yankees grabbed a 7-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles at Yankee Stadium. New York first baseman Jose Abreu was 3-7 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5 to earn player of the game honors. Reliever Josh Hader picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Justin Wilson took the loss. New York's record now stands at 20-23, placing them last in the American League East Division.
Abreu had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the 13th. On a 0-1 cutter from Justin Wilson, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Yankees a 7-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Abreu.
"We didn't go down without a fight," said Baltimore manager Eric S.
