Rockies Get Road Win, 6-2
|
Colorado third baseman Brandon Drury made his presence felt in the 6-2 Rockies triumph over the Boston Red Sox. Drury was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Colorado reliever Jon Harris picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Tyson Ross was collared with the loss. Colorado has a 3-game win streak, while Boston has lost 3 in a row.
Drury had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 2-2 fastball from Liam Hendriks, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Rockies a 3-2 lead. It was the 13th double of the year for Drury.
"It was a solid team effort," said Drury after the game.
