New York-Oakland Trade: Abreu for Goldschmidt Sunday, July 28th, 2019 The Yankees and the Athletics finalized a deal this afternoon. New York has traded for 31-year-old 1B Paul Goldschmidt and in return Oakland will receive 32-year-old 1B Jose Abreu, 23-year-old minor league 2B Shedric Long and 25-year-old minor league 1B Edwin Rios. Currently Abreu is batting .236 with 91 hits and 14 home runs. He has knocked in 45 runs and scored 32 times. This year Goldschmidt has hit at a .255 pace and produced 46 RBIs, 19 home runs and scored 75 runs. |
