NL Star of the Week Announced Monday, August 5th, 2019 At the age of 32, Yonder Alonso might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Washington first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .526 batting average. For his efforts Alonso collected the National League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 10 hits in 19 at-bats, 4 home runs and 12 RBIs last week in 5 games. Hitting .214 to date, Alonso has 20 home runs and 66 RBIs. He has played in 100 games. |
