Flaherty Mows Down Washington in No-Hitter Friday, August 9th, 2019 In a brilliant performance at Citi Field, New York pitcher Jack Flaherty entered an elite group by tossing a no-hitter today against the Washington Nationals. In the effort, he fanned 10 and walked 0, leading the Mets to a 3-0 victory. "I was getting my off-speed stuff over so they couldn't sit on the fastball," Flaherty said in the clubhouse after the game. "My guys made some nice plays behind me and cut off several hits, too."
