League Suspends Schebler and Mikolas for Fisticuffs
Tuesday, August 13th, 2019
Yesterday at Citi Field Scott Schebler and Miles Mikolas got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game.

Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Schebler will have to sit out 4 while Mikolas would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl.

Schebler is currently hitting at a .253 pace with 21 home runs, 54 RBIs and has scored 52 times.

So far this season Mikolas has a 8-10 record with a 4.17 ERA.
