Setback For Red Sox and Oliver Drake Saturday, September 7th, 2019 Boston Red Sox reliever Oliver Drake got another setback today. His doctors informed him that his injury was not responding to treatment as well as they hoped and that he would need more time to rehabilitate. If all goes well, they expect Drake to be ready to go within 5 days. He told BNN, "I didn't expect a stiff back to take this long to heal." Running the numbers on Drake for the year, he has made 70 relief appearances, recorded 2 saves and compiled a 5-3 won-lost mark with a 3.64 ERA. In pitching 66.2 innings, he has totaled 102 strikeouts and 38 walks. |
