Injury Worsens, Return Delayed For Twins Correa
Tuesday, September 10th, 2019
"It's worse than we thought." That was the news from the Twins clubhouse today as it was learned that shortstop Carlos Correa will be out for an added one week as a result of a recent injury. His treatment for a bruised collarbone will have to be extended. Initially it didn't seem the injury was a major concern, but the Minnesota shortstop told team trainers of some discomfort yesterday morning, and upon examination it was determined to be a more serious injury. "We'd rather take this thing slowly and make sure Carlos gets back onto the field healthy," said the team's head trainer.

Correa is batting .268 this year with 20 home runs, 59 RBIs and 66 runs scored. He has 135 hits in 503 at-bats.
