Milwaukee Cruises to National League Central Division Crown Friday, September 13th, 2019 There may have been other teams in the National League Central Division, but this year there was one that stood far above all others. The Milwaukee Brewers are division champions after to date what has been a dominant season that sees the club well out ahead of the pack, with a current record of 93-53. It is the 5th time in franchise history they have won the National League Central Division. "We've had the right preparation and focus all year," said manager David Mendel. The club will now be looking for its 1st Major League Baseball championship. "We're all getting excited to get the playoffs started," said reliever Chad Green as he paused from celebrations with his jubilant teammates. "The division is one thing, but ultimately we want to get to the World Series and win it." |
