Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Wednesday, September 18th, 2019 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Cincinnati-Chicago contest at Great American Ball Park. The Reds Joey Gallo and the Cubs Dennis Santana will have to sit out 4 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Looking at his season stats, Gallo has compiled a .160 batting average and a .317 on-base percentage, while hitting 35 home runs and driving in 91 runs. On his stats sheet for the year Santana shows a 3-9 record, 22 starts, 117 innings, 125 strikeouts and a 5.46 ERA. |
