Almora Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Sunday, September 22nd, 2019 Albert Almora continued his streak at Oriole Park at Camden Yards today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Baltimore center fielder was 2-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Orioles were not as fortunate, losing 15-5 to the Seattle Mariners. "Almora was hitting everything we threw at him," said Seattle manager Jeff Clement. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Albert Almora flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this year Almora is batting .291 with 9 home runs. |
