Setback for Washington and Andrew Benintendi Tuesday, September 24th, 2019 Andrew Benintendi is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for a bruised elbow. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Nationals sent the 25-year-old left fielder back to the doctors for reexamination. Benintendi told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Benintendi will now miss a minimum of 5 days. This season Benintendi is hitting .257 with 126 hits, 14 home runs, 49 RBIs, scored 80 runs and played in 126 games. |
