Los Angeles Clinches Wild Card Saturday, September 28th, 2019 The Los Angeles Angels may not go on to win a World Series, but the team celebrated like they had won a championship tonight after securing a wild card spot. "We were definitely feeling the pressure. To go so late into the season and not know whether you're going to make the playoffs or not, it's intense. That's why you're seeing such an excited reaction," said reliever Chaz Roe. "All our guys I think are just relieved that we made it after all that." It did indeed take a tough battle and with their record at 88-72, the Angels will now look to bring the 2nd World Series championship to Los Angeles. |
