Thrilling Win Pushes Los Angeles to Next Round Thursday, October 3rd, 2019 The Los Angeles Angels are on to the Division Series. And the club has a strong performance from Stephen Strasburg to thank for the Wild Card Game victory. The pitcher was instrumental in the 5-4 win over the New York Yankees at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, as he was named series MVP for his efforts. Strasburg threw 6.1 innings, with 9 strikeouts, while allowing 4 hits, 2 walks and 2 runs. "I just trusted my catcher and was able to execute pitches, thankfully," he said. "That's a talented team they have over there, so I wasn't taking anything for granted." The Los Angeles Angels will play against the Cleveland Indians in the next round.
