San Diego Takes Division Series in Deciding Game Thursday, October 10th, 2019 In a series that had a little bit of everything, the San Diego Padres have edged the Miami Marlins. The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Division Series, with a 17-14 win in the clincher being the difference for San Diego and giving them the ticket to the League Championship Series with a 3-2 series triumph. "We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Mitch Haniger, who was named series MVP. For the series, Haniger hit .333 with a .520 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs. The San Diego Padres will play against the Milwaukee Brewers in the next round.
