Indians on to World Series Friday, October 18th, 2019 The League Championship Series didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game. But the Cleveland Indians are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Baltimore Orioles 4-1 to advance to the World Series. "It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Indians left fielder J.D. Martinez. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire." Cleveland won the final game by a score of 4-2 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Martinez was named series MVP after hitting .368 with a .455 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Cleveland Indians don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Milwaukee Brewers - San Diego Padres series. San Diego leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series is scheduled to begin on October 22nd, 2019.
