Great Stroke: Wilson Gets 5 Hits Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 It was high-fives all around for Weston Wilson at Security Bank Ballpark today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Midland RockHounds. Wilson smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 14-1 win. "Weston was hitting everything," said Baysox manager . "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, RockHounds manager told BNN beat writers that Wilson "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Wilson oversleeps next time." Weston Wilson hit a solo-shot off Bryan Mata in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th. This year Wilson has hit 4 home runs and posted a .348 batting average. |
