Hernandez Collects AC Pitching Award Saturday, June 1st, 2019 Jonathan Hernandez hasn't been around long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning American Conference Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice. In May the Mobile starter earned a 5-0 mark in 6 starts. He threw 34.2 innings, struck out 32 and compiled a solid 2.34 ERA. So far this year Hernandez has made 10 starts, tossed 55.1 innings, struck out 50 batters and walked 15. His record is 6-2 with a 3.90 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .251 batting average. |
