Arkansas First Baseman Picked AC Player of the Week Monday, July 15th, 2019 23-year-old Samir Duenez made a few Arkansas headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and American Conference officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 27 at-bats to put up a .407 average. Duenez collected 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 9 runs. Presently Duenez is batting .337 and has collected 15 home runs, 54 RBIs, .436 OBP and scored 69 runs. |
