Hit Streak Now at 31 for Pache Monday, July 15th, 2019 With 3 hits at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville today, Cristian Pache added another game to his hitting streak -- the Mississippi center fielder has now hit safely for 31 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Braves today, as they fell, 3-2, to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Jacksonville manager said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Cristian Pache grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 11th. So far this year Pache has 8 home runs and a .322 batting average. |
