Filia Finally Fails, Streak Ends at 20 Friday, August 16th, 2019 The Fisher Cats stopped Eric Filia's 20-game hitting streak today at Arm & Hammer Park, but they couldn't stop the Trenton Thunder, falling by the score of 9-3. Filia didn't get a hit for the first time in weeks, finishing 0-for-3. "It's just as well," Thunder manager said. "We couldn't spend the whole season going out of our way not to jinx him." For the year Filia has hit .298 with 8 home runs, 47 RBIs and scored 79 runs. |
