Trammell Torches Cardinals for 5 Hits Tuesday, August 27th, 2019 Taylor Trammell said "it felt like taking batting practice" today at Hammons Field, and it showed in the box score. The Hartford left fielder had a fantastic 5-for-8 day against the Springfield Cardinals, leading his club to victory, 49-5. "I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Trammell said later." Taylor Trammell struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Logan Allen in the 5th, walked in the 7th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, walked in a run in the 8th, hit a three-run home run off Yennsy Diaz in the 9th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. Trammell has collected 148 hits for the Yard Goats this year, 22 of them home runs. He has also netted 80 RBIs and scored 100 runs while batting .310. |
