AC Trophy Goes to Walsh of Northwest Arkansas Monday, September 2nd, 2019 26-year-old Jared Walsh made a few Northwest Arkansas headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and American Conference officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 27 at-bats to put up a .481 average. Walsh collected 1 home run, 6 RBIs and scored 6 runs. Walsh is batting at a .288 pace this season, picking up 101 hits in 351 at-bats with 17 home runs, 71 RBIs and 59 runs scored. |
