NC Reliever of the Year Winner Named

He may only be 24, but Conner Menez of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the National Conference.

The reliever was today named the NC Reliever of the Year winner for 2019.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 3 saves in 53 relief appearances and 116 strikeouts in 72.1 innings. He had a record of 5-2 to go with his 2.36 ERA.

He received 26 first place votes out of a possible 30. Reid Humphreys of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Mack Lemieux of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp finished third with 1 first place vote.
