Arauz Bashes 5 Base Hits Friday, June 14th, 2019 The Daytona Tortugas tripped up the Clearwater Threshers 11-3 today. The Tortugas were led by Jonathan Arauz, their 20-year-old second baseman. Arauz made life miserable for Clearwater pitchers all day, tagging them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Jonathan Arauz doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Enrique De Los Rios in the 8th. In the current season, Arauz has put up a .291 batting average with 55 hits, 6 home runs, 20 runs batted in and scored 28 runs. |
