Diaz Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Sunday, July 21st, 2019 The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes stopped the Visalia Rawhide today 9-3 and Lewin Diaz collected a base hit yet again. The Rancho Cucamonga first baseman finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Diaz told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Lewin Diaz walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 8th. Thus far in 2019 Diaz is hitting .330 with 18 home runs, 66 RBIs, 64 runs scored and has compiled a .410 OBP. |
