Sands Fires Shutout in Hillcats Win Friday, August 30th, 2019 22-year-old Lynchburg Hillcats pitcher Cole Sands had a strong outing against the Salem Red Sox at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium today, keeping them off the scoreboard the whole game. He struck out 7 in the 6-0 win and walked 1 while surrendering 4 hits. "Hopefully there will be plenty more of these in the future for us," he said. In 12 starts this season Sands has notched a 7-3 record and a 3.55 ERA. |
